I went to my application, but Acrobat Reader DC was greyed out, so that I couldn't choose it. When I downloaded the patch on the Adobe website from last year and attempted to install it, I was directed to choose my application. dmg file just about a month ago, I would assume I downloaded the latest version with a patch already included. I saw in some discussions from the middle of last year that there was a patch that was thought to fix this printing issue on Macs. Here is the information in the 'About' section that might help identify what exactly I have: Try moving any other windows out of the way.
Note: If you do not see this dialog box, another window could be blocking it. I just started experiencing it as I just installed, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous about a month ago. For instructions, see Install an older version of Adobe Reader on Mac OS.
In Googling this issue, evidently Adobe is aware of this and many people in the community have said they are experiencing the same issue of not being able to print a pdf.
